Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu is one of Vietnam's oldest pepper-growing provinces, maintaining about 10,000 hectares of cultivation and an annual yield of around 23,000 tons. Key pepper-growing areas include Châu Đức and Xuyên Mộc District, with the Vĩnh Linh variety accounting for 90% of the total cultivated area.
The province has increasingly adopted advanced agricultural techniques, with 1,715 hectares utilizing semi-automatic drip irrigation, intensive farming methods, and integrated pest health management (IPHM). Many farms adhere to GlobalGAP, Rainforest Alliance (RA), and national organic standards (TCVN), aiming for sustainable organic production.
